Experience the pinnacle of American craftsmanship with this exceptional Medford Knife & Tool Primus, the first and only example of its kind produced so far. This extraordinary custom configuration combines Medford’s unmistakable design philosophy with intricate patriotic artwork, premium blade steel, and uncompromising construction. Proudly made in the USA, this exclusive Primus showcases exceptional attention to detail, precision machining, and a bold aesthetic that celebrates American heritage.
At the heart of this remarkable knife is a compound ground CPM 3V Tanto blade featuring massive 0.26-inch blade stock, delivering the robust construction and cutting performance that Medford Knife & Tool is known for. CPM 3V is a premium tool steel recognized for its exceptional toughness, resistance to chipping, and ability to withstand demanding cutting applications. The compound grind combines multiple blade geometries, creating a distinctive profile that balances cutting versatility with the strength of its substantial Tanto blade.
The Primus features a frame lock flipper design, providing secure blade lockup and smooth, confident deployment. What makes this design particularly unique is the inclusion of machined lands on both sides of the blade, allowing for multiple deployment methods beyond the traditional flipper tab. These strategically positioned surfaces enable both thumb flicking and reverse flicking, providing a versatile and engaging opening experience that sets the Primus apart from conventional frame lock folders.
What truly distinguishes this particular Primus is its exclusive patriotic laser engraving. The show-side handle features an intricately engraved screaming eagle, capturing the strength, determination, and fierce spirit of America’s most recognizable national symbol. The detailed artwork creates a powerful visual centerpiece that perfectly complements the Primus’s commanding design.
The lock side features an equally impressive billowing American flag laser engraving, depicting Old Glory flowing in the wind. The carefully executed detailing brings movement and depth to the artwork, creating a striking contrast between the two sides while maintaining a cohesive patriotic theme.
Completing this exclusive configuration are a blue pocket clip and matching blue backspacer, adding a vibrant touch of color that beautifully complements the custom engraving. These carefully selected accents enhance the knife’s appearance while reinforcing its distinctive character.
Built with the rugged construction, precision machining, and attention to detail associated with Medford Knife & Tool, the Primus represents an exceptional combination of functional craftsmanship and collectible artistry. From its substantial CPM 3V Tanto blade and versatile deployment system to its intricate patriotic engraving, every aspect of this knife reflects the bold American manufacturing philosophy that has made Medford knives highly regarded among collectors and enthusiasts.
