At the center of the knife is a CPM S30V stainless steel blade with a hollow grind, delivering an excellent balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness. The modified wharncliffe-style blade provides precise tip control and impressive slicing performance, making it highly capable for everyday cutting tasks. Spyderco’s signature Round Hole is paired with a low-profile flipper tab, giving users multiple smooth deployment options.

One of the Smock’s standout features is its unique Compression Button Lock system, which combines Spyderco’s proven Compression Lock with a button-style release for fast, fidget-friendly operation and secure lockup. The knife rides on bearings for exceptionally smooth action and rapid deployment.
